You want to make cheese, not rearrange your life.
Why does it feel so complicated?
It’s easy to feel intimidated when you first look into cheesemaking.
Suddenly, it seems to require gallons of raw milk from your own goat or cow, enormous pots, mysterious powders, bulky presses, and even a makeshift cave.
That is not realistic for most of us.
The good news is that you can make real cheese in your real life!
Cheesecraft Club is built for everyday people with ordinary kitchens, one gallon of milk, and busy schedules.
No cave. No cow. No lifestyle overhaul required.
Just grocery store milk, practical guidance, and one new cheese each month.

You’ve been thinking about this for a while.
You really do want to make cheese.
You bought a book, watched videos, admired someone pulling fresh mozzarella, or maybe even made a simple ricotta and thought:
“I’d love to really learn how to make cheese.”
Maybe you’ve told yourself you’ll try it someday.
Someday when life settles down.
When you have more time.
But someday has a way of getting pushed further away.
Cheesecraft Club makes it doable with a simple monthly rhythm: one featured cheese, live guidance, and support when questions come up.
It turns “maybe someday” into now, one delicious cheese at a time.

Meet your cheesemaking guide.
Hi! I'm Claudia.
Back in the olden times of 2006, when I first set out to learn cheesemaking, there was very little information available for beginners making cheese at home. Not one cheese video online, if you can believe it.
One book I found was written for commercial cheesemakers. The lab coats, sterile rooms, and technical instructions made the craft feel risky and out of reach for an ordinary home kitchen.
Another book, from the 1970s, was written for back-to-the-land makers with 10 gallons of raw milk and a very different lifestyle than mine.
So I worked with what I could find, tested a lot, adapted a lot, and figured out how cheesemaking could work in a regular home kitchen.
In 2009, I founded Urban Cheesecraft and made access the heart of my work: helping cheesemaking feel practical, approachable, and possible for everyday people.

Now there is a wealth of information! Books, videos, blogs, recipes, and opinions, often pointing in different directions.
But the result is surprisingly similar.
Aspiring home cheesemakers are still left wondering where to begin and which advice to trust.
Through Urban Cheesecraft, my books, workshops, and cheese kits, I’ve helped hundreds of thousands of beginners make their first cheeses at home.
Cheesecraft Club is the next step in that work.
It is my answer to all the noise: a clear path, direct guidance, and the supportive cheesemaking community I wish had existed when I was starting out.
I’d love to welcome you inside.
A few words from some happy new cheesemakers.
Cheesecraft Club FAQs
Everything you need to know about how your membership works.
Your membership includes a monthly live workshop with replay, direct support from Claudia as you learn, unlimited access to all online classes, exclusive recipes, member-only discounts on kits, and a supportive community of fellow cheese makers.
You’ll work your way through a delicious range of approachable homemade cheeses, from quick one-hour cheeses to 24-hour cultured fresh cheeses and, eventually, beginner-friendly aged cheeses you can age right in your kitchen fridge.
We’ll start with confidence-building cheeses like paneer, queso fresco, and fromage blanc, then build toward styles like mozzarella, burrata, string cheese, feta, pepper jack, brie, and cheddar over time.
The exact monthly lineup may shift with the season, member needs, and what will give you the best learning experience. But the goal stays the same: one delicious cheese, one useful skill set, and one doable kitchen project at a time.
Yes! Cheesecraft Club is for curious, aspiring home cheesemakers who want clear guidance, doable steps, and steady progress, whether you’re brand new or ready to build on what you already know.
The club is based on Claudia’s experience teaching thousands of home cheesemakers since 2009 through in-person classes, beginner-friendly kits, and her popular books One-Hour Cheese, Instant Pot Cheese and Cooking with Whey.
You do not need specialized equipment or any previous cheesemaking experience. We start with small batches, approachable cheeses, and step-by-step lessons that help you understand what to do, what to look for, and what to try next.
Each cheese teaches skills you’ll use again and again, so you’re not just following recipes. You’re becoming a more confident home cheesemaker, one delicious cheese at a time.
Already made a few cheeses? Wonderful! Cheesecraft Club will help you keep going, build on what you know, and grow from “I've dabbled” to “I’m becoming a confident home cheesemaker.” You can follow the "monthly make" for steady progress, troubleshoot with support, and explore additional classes from the library when you’re ready for more.
To get started, you'll need just a few basics:
You'll need milk, pasteurized store-bought milk, or raw milk if you already have access to it. You'll also use common kitchen tools like a stock pot, colander, measuring cups, and measuring spoons.
For the cheesemaking ingredients and supplies, you'll need citric acid, rennet, a thermometer, and cheesecloth or butter muslin. These basics will serve you again and again throughout the club.
If you already have a cheesemaking kit, you may be set. If not, our Deluxe Cheese Kit is the easiest way to get everything in one place, and club members receive 20% off at checkout.
Absolutely! Members receive 20% off all cheese making kits books and supplies. If you order when you sign up for your membership, the discount is automatically applied at checkout. Once in the club you will receive a secret member code you can use as long as you are a member.
We add new classes monthly, covering techniques for fast cheeses, overnight and cultured cheeses as well as short-aged cheeses that age in your fridge in a few days or weeks. Each class builds new skills and classes are organized and released as you progress to set you up for success. All classes are designed for beginners following this path. Members are notified when new content is available.
You’re still covered. Every live workshop will be recorded and added to the club’s Cheese Library, so you can watch the replay whenever it works for you.
If you have a question, you can submit it in advance and Claudia will answer it during the workshop so you can hear the guidance in the replay.
Workshop times may vary from month to month to give members in different time zones and schedules a chance to join live when possible. Cheesecraft Club itself is based in Oregon, U.S. Pacific Time.
Yes! Our private member community, our Cheesecraft Member Lounge, is a great place to share your creations, ask questions, troubleshoot issues, and connect with other new cheesemakers.
Absolutely. Direct support is built into Cheesecraft Club in several ways.
The Member Lounge includes an Ask Claudia channel dedicated to questions and support. You can post questions, photos, or short videos when you need help with a batch, and Claudia will respond within one business day, Monday through Friday.
You may also hear from fellow members who have tried the same cheese or run into a similar question, so you get the benefit of both expert guidance and community support.
You can also ask questions during the live workshop Q&A sessions. If you can’t attend live, you can submit your questions in advance and watch the answers in the replay.
And of course, email is available for account or access questions, but cheesemaking questions are best in the Ask Claudia channel or live workshops where your questions and the answers help everyone.
If you have any questions now, use the black chat on bubble on the screen now.
Yes! You can pause or cancel your membership at any time from your account settings. You'll continue to have access until the end of your current billing period. Stay a season or a year, you will learn to make more cheeses and gain more skills the longer you stay.
